Exhibition, Research and
  Education Centre in Edale

The Centre is intended to be the start of a journey along the Pennine Way and a narrative through the landscape and history of Northern England with a series of follies linking back to the main building. Through materiality and form the building has intentions towards ecological and educational ethics, raising awareness of nature and the decline of the landscape. The use is split between the two wings with public functions housed on one, and private research facilities on the other.

The museum, café, exhibition and education facilities create spaces and areas for the public to visit the centre and enjoy the landscpe whilst improving their awareness of the moorland environment. The private research accomodation allows studies of the area within the same building.
