Located adjacent to Salford Quays near Manchester, MediaCityUK is a £600m mixed use development incorporating office, residential, studio, retail and parking. The scheme includes large areas of new public realm including a park, piazza and tram terminal. Experience included working for the client to manage and deliver the fit-out and operational aspects of the site. This involved the interior design of the broadcasting studios for the BBC as well as office space, retail and public areas.
This project involved the refurbishment of a grade II listed Victorian Market Hall and new insertion of modern retail units into the existing structure. The £18m scheme was completed in September 2008 and was nominated for an RICS award for regeneration. Experience included the overall management and detailed design of the building from planning stage to on site completion working with the client, design team and main contractor.
Purpose built £311m office building in Westminster for the Home Office government department. The PFI funded project was completed in 2005 and provides 895,000sqft of high quality office space surrounded by pocket parks and streets which knit the building into the existing London street pattern. Experience included working for Sir Terry Farrell as part of the design team detailing the building as it progressed on site.
